How the charging score is calculated

How quickly the battery refills: wired charging watts per 1,000 mah of battery (50%, required), maker-stated 0–100% charging time (30%, when published), wireless charging power (20%, when published).

Uses maker-stated watts and times; real charge time also depends on the charger and the charging curve.

Inputs, weights and scales for the charging score (formula version 2.6). Values between two points are scored on the straight line between them; values beyond the ends get the end score.

Worked example

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is #3 in the current charging list. Its charging score of 90 comes from these inputs:

Oppo Find X9 Ultra: charging score step by step. Points are on the 0 to 100 scales above.
InputThis phonePointsWeightContribution
Wired charging watts per 1,000 mAh of battery100W wired charging8750%61.9
Maker-stated 0–100% charging timenot confirmed—30%left out

The contributions add up to the score. An input that is not confirmed is left out and the remaining weights are scaled up to 100%, except where the category counts an unknown input at the middle of its scale (shown as "counts as 50").
